Just an hour from Madrid Segovia, a World Heritage City, is known for treasuring the most important Roman monument in Spain, an imposing aqueduct with 167 arches built with granite blocks without mortar that crosses the center of the present city. In addition to the aqueduct, Segovia treasures buildings of singular beauty and importance in the history of Spain, such as the Alcazar, originally built in the 12th century, and the Cathedral, which dates from the 18th century.
In addition, the province of Segovia, together with Valladolid, is home to the D.O. Rueda, famous for its white wines made from Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
We propose a beautiful day trip that includes a visit to a historic family winery that produces natural and organic wine and then a visit to Segovia with entrance to the Cathedral and the Alcazar and a traditional Segovian meal in a historic restaurant.
